Columbarium

Germantown United Methodist Church

The McVay Gardens Columbarium is a place for the internment of the cremated remains of family and loved ones. As such, it provides an important spiritual component in the lives of Germantown United Methodist Church members and the greater Germantown community. Several Sunday school classes have expressed interest in purchasing one or more niches as “class property” to use as needed or desired in the future. Arrangements may be made with the church office to purchase niches for this purpose.

If you are interested in a Memorial Plaque and/or becoming a McVay Gardens Columbarium enrollee please contact Don Rhoads at drhoads@germantownumc.org or 754-7216.

Benches in the McVay Gardens Columbarium. Our McVay Gardens Columbarium is now graced with permanent stone benches for the benefit of family and other participants in inurnment services. Ms. Drenda Tomlinson has graciously donated the benches in memory of her husband, James Richard Tomlinson. The presence of the benches will add greatly to the quality and intimacy of future services. Please visit the McVay Gardens Columbarium to see the very attractive new benches. Our thanks to Drenda for her thoughtfulness and generosity in making this donation.
