Recreation & Sports
GUMC offers a variety of sports activities throughout the entire year. GUMC sports are Christ-centered with an emphasis on teamwork and glorifying God.
Spring
• Soccer. Registration is held in January/February
– Age: Pre-K - 6th grade.
– All teams are divided by grade ● Pre-K and Sr. K teams are co-ed ● 1st-6th grade teams are divided by gender.
– Fee to play is $100.
– All teams play 6 games. Games begin in mid-March and end late April/early May.
Summer
• T-Ball
– Registration is held in April
– Age 4 years as of 6/1/12 through current kindergarteners ● All Jr. K and Sr. K teams are co-ed.
– Games are played on Thursdays (Saturdays for rain dates) at Balmoral Presbyterian Church, 6413 Quince Rd, Memphis, TN 38119,
– Games begin late May through late June.
– Teams will play 6 games.
– Teams are coached by parent volunteers. (Safe Sanctuary training and Background check required).
– The cost to play is $70 which covers league fees and uniform.

• All Sports Camp – GUMC offers 2 summer sports camps the last full weeks of both June and July.
– For kids who have completed Sr. Kindergarten through 6th grade.
– Registration for the June camp is in May and for the July camp the registration is in June.
– Both camps are offered Cost is $95 and includes lunch, camp T-shirt and all sports activities.
– The camp hours are 9 am – 2 pm Monday through Friday.
Fall

• Basketbal
– Registration is held in September.
– For Ages Kindergarten-12th grade ● Kindergarten teams are co-ed ● 1st-12th grade teams are divided by gender.
– All practices are held in the OLEC gym.
– The fee to play is $100.
– All teams play 8 games. Games begin December and end late February or early March.
